Creating a Display Ads Campaign

Display Ads are banner placements shown in Namshi’s premium slots (for example inside the product-listing grid). They are billed on a CPM basis — a bid per 1,000 views — and, like Brand Ads, pass through an automated Quality Check, reviewed against Namshi’s guidelines, before serving.

This guide covers building the landing link, creating banners (auto-generated or your own), setting a CPM bid, and submitting for review.

How you’re billed & where it fits

Pricing model — CPM (per 1,000 views). Display Ads are billed per thousand views: you pay for how often your banner is shown, regardless of clicks. The minimum bid is AED 20 per 1,000 views.

What CPM means

CPM = Cost Per Mille (cost per 1,000 impressions/views). You are charged for every 1,000 times your banner is displayed, whether or not it is clicked.

Where it fits — upper-funnel, awareness. Display banners on Namshi’s premium slots maximise visibility and reach across the app and website. Reach is high, but ROAS (return on ad spend) is usually lower than Product Ads — the goal is brand exposure and discovery rather than capturing immediate purchase intent.

Before you begin

  • You are signed in and the correct seller account is selected.

  • Creative ready — either: let the Creative Builder generate banners (you supply a background image, 700×1600, max 20 MB, plus optional logo 1600×700 and short bilingual copy), or upload your own pre-designed banners.

  • Minimum bid is 20 per 1,000 views (CPM).

Step 1 — Choose the campaign type

Click Create Campaign, select Display Ads and click Continue. Display Ads have four mandatory steps.

Choose a Brand and a Category. Namshi uses these to generate the live link — the destination shoppers land on when they click your banner.

Step 3 — Creative Banners

Provide your banner creative. There are two ways to do this — pick either.

Option A — Generate using Creative Builder (Beta)

No creatives? The builder generates banners for you. Choose the Content Language (English, Arabic or Both), enter short copy — Title (max 10), Subtitle (max 20) and an optional Button Text (max 10) — and upload a Background Image (required, 700×1600) plus an optional Logo (1600×700). Click Generate Preview to see the Desktop and App (Vertical PLP) renders.

Option B — Upload My Own Banners

Prefer your own design? Select Upload My Own Banners and add your pre-designed creative with Select Photo. The preview shows where the banner appears within the product-listing grid.

Step 4 — Bidding

Display Ads are priced per 1,000 views. Enter a Bid Amount — the most you’ll pay for every 1,000 views. The minimum bid is 20 per 1,000 views.

Step 5 — General Settings

Set the Campaign Name, schedule and Daily Budget. Marketplace is fixed to NAMSHI.

Step 6 — Send to Quality Check

Submit with Send To Quality Check. Your banner is reviewed by an automated system against Namshi’s creative guidelines; once approved the campaign serves and appears in your Campaigns dashboard for monitoring, pausing and resuming. Use Save As Draft to finish later.

That’s it!
